In only one word I can't imagine being able to sum up my goals, theories, or intentions for an entire year...unless maybe that word was intention!

No such thing as too much travel in my world! The chance to explore and learn about new places & people is like a drug in our household. It was really great to read. I especially loved number 2, the not caring to find out if you've changed styles or not. Plus I'm an avid Boggler myself.

My word for this year is surrender. I know that if I don't exercise more, I won't have the energy and flexibility and strength to do all the other things I want to do. As I get deeper into retirement, I'll probably compare notes with you on more of these items.Nancy/BLissed-Out Grandmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17223278142557533175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8356815487392618550.post-74892007769718561682011-01-06T17:51:23.903-08:002011-01-06T17:51:23.903-08:00What a wonderful post. Pre-booking lodging.... on "out there" trips what works well for me is booking the night I land, doing some research (ex. making sure everything not 100% booked or that camping is a back-up plan option) with some back-up plans and letting the rest flow.Dana Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12507480224236094656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8356815487392618550.post-82716191878119971162011-01-06T09:08:03.046-08:002011-01-06T09:08:03.046-08:00Gracious, you have been busy thinking and have don...Gracious, you have been busy thinking and have done an excellent job of it. We worked it out, and it freed me from that desire to "help" when it's not wanted.

Since I traveled with my job, I burned out on it and still really like traveling from my front door to town or into the wilderness areas. However most of my destinations are family oriented so it is only the travel part where I wing it. Most often it is just fine, sometimes I do end up in a rat hole, too tired to go further. Think there should be a happy medium but I haven't found it yet.
Travel while you can.
