Back in April, a film crew was at my house for two days. I'd been selected by Road Scholar and Participant Media to be interviewed and filmed as an example of a person in retirement who wanted to make a difference. I had no idea how the video would turn out. Now I know!
Here's the video, created by Participant Media from the two days of filming.
You can read about the filming experience in two of my blog posts.

This is very cool - not bad at all for my 15 minutes of fame. I'm about 12 pounds thinner than I was then, but oh, well!

Love love love this, Linda! Kudos to you for making the most of "retirement"!
What a good experience for you to share your retirement direction, and have your 15 minutes of fame. Or maybe 20 minutes of fame. Smile.
Nice! you are absolutely right about the satisfaction of giving a bit of oneself, not just one's money. also, it's fun to see and hear you. Cheers!
Loved the video and seeing you and Art in action. You can be proud of the work you have done with the Habitat for Humanity.
I admire how you two are making the most of your retirement with service and travel.
Loved the video ~ and what you're doing in your retirement!
What a lovely segment they made! However, I had to laugh at the text that the online voice-recognition program printed at the bottom of the screen. It could not track the poor quality of the sound and at one point it showed the word "hottie" under your face. I would have labeled you, "Accomplished Retiree and All-around Good Gal!"
I am so impressed with your approach to retirement--all that you have accomplished goes well beyond fifteen minutes. I think you and Art are true heroes and role models for us all.
Looking forward to watching this with my afternoon tea today!
Also wanted to let you know I just left a review on Amazon--of the hard copy, not the ebook. I was going to email you but couldn't find your email. galenpearl@gmail.com for me.
A great video of wonderful, caring people. You are an inspiration to all, especially us 60-somethings!
Very nicely done. It is always great to see a blogger friend in action.
Well done piece. It was nice to put a voice to your writing.
WOOO! I know her!!
Nice job on your part Linda!!
You can rightly feel very proud of what you've done and now how you'll inspire others. It's not our mother's retirement!
